M4 Playhouse Rep 2016, Ying Xin

Playhouse 2016 is just 4 days away! Today, we have our very own M4 playhouse rep, Ying Xin here with us to share more about herself!   With drama experience outside of Medicine as well as her dedication, this is the 4th time that Ying Xin is leading their batch’s playhouse production as the playhouse rep. When asked what she feels are some of the interesting parts of their play, Ying Xin replied that it is how they weave everything together, make use of their batch’s strength in humour and the large manpower this year. With 100+ of characters within the play itself, this is going to be the biggest play that their batch has ever put up.    Are there any goals for your batch this year? “We’d really like to get 1st, because it’s probably our last time to do it cause next year is our MBBS, I don’t think any of us can afford the time. Since M1, we’ve always focused on the goal of having fun. But I think the pressure this year is to win.”    As a snippet , “This year’s theme is feminism — a bit like les mis, which is like a mix of feminism with a bit of revolution.”
